We can supply you with the exact specifications and dimensions for CDs, DVDs and Audio Cassettes or you can download templates to the right of this page.

We offer FTP access to our servers for supplying us with your artwork. Please call for details.

It should also include the following information:

• Catalogue number on the back cover, spine and label
• A barcode if necessary
• If you plan to export your CD we advise that you include 'Made in England'
• Ensure you have paginated the CD booklets correctly into printer's pairs
• Remember to include the 3mm bleed and trim marks

We use Apple Macintosh computers therefore any discs and files supplied must be Mac compatible. We prefer QuarkXpress, InDesign, PageMaker, Illustrator, Freehand and Photoshop files. When supplying artwork please remember the following points:

• Always include a colour proof so that we know what the end result should look like
• Include all fonts used (both screen and printer fonts)
• If you are using Freehand or Illustrator we recommend that you convert fonts to outlines
• Make sure scans and image files are 300dpi at reproduction
• Check all files for process separation
• Add 3mm bleed and include trim marks

Should you require assistance at any stage in preparing your artwork, our designers are available to answer any questions.

Alternatively, our in-house studio can design and typeset your artwork for you, working from your photo's and written instructions. Upon completion we'll provide you with colour proofs for approval.

A standard four-page booklet for a CD album is generally known as 4/1. This indicates that the booklet is printed in full (4) colours on the front and back, whilst the inside is printed in black (1) and white.

J cards for a CD single are usually 4/0 printed in full (4) colours on one side only, this is also the norm for a CD album tray card.

A booklet printed in full colour throughout is classified as 4/4, as is a tray card printed on both sides in full colour.

Prices for the design of Artwork from photo’s and written instructions can start as low as £125.00 +VAT (£146.88 inc) depending upon the complexity of the job – an accurate quote will be provided upon overview of the project.
